The Black Sheep x Nike SB Dunk High “Black Hornet” was a special release for NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte, NC in 2019. Black Sheep, the Charlotte-based skate shop which has partnered with Nike SB for limited edition Dunks in the past, teamed up with the skateboarding division of the Swoosh once again for this “Black Hornet” Dunk High. The colourway pays homage to the classic purple and teal colours of the Charlotte Hornets, with an iridescent base layered with black and matte silver elephant print panels. Special details include silver “stingers” on the side Swooshes, a hexagonal “hive” pattern on the tongue, and optional metal lace dubraes in the same hexagon pattern.
